About Us
The Rehabilitation Society of Calgary is a member-owned, member-operated charity of and for people with disabilities. Our Own Place is both the program and the concept: persons with disabilities work together to create a place for building social relationships, trying new things, learning new skills, and managing the program and the facility. As well, we have different opportunities for participants to work together on projects that ‘give back’ and develop ways to participate in our larger world and community.
The member owned-member operated concept is based on the premise that there are ‘no bosses at Rehab’. Participants, volunteers and staff all work together to create a ‘home away from home’ with ever-changing activities based on participant’s current interests.
If you are looking for a friendly, inclusive place to go – come on in for a visit!
